The LOCALity

The North Norfolk coastline is a fascinating area of natural beauty and caters for a wide variety of activities including walking, cycling, birdwatching, sailing, fishing, crabbing in the Harbour (known as gillying - one of the most popular activities for children and adults alike on any visit to Wells), golf, kiteflying and sunbathing.

Pinewoods holiday park is situated behind pine-covered dunes over which the large sandy beach is found. On the beach are the characteristic colourful beach huts which make for a highly picturesque setting.

The harbour town of Wells is a very enjoyable walk away and has a wide range of shops, pubs, restaurants, fish and chips shops and activities for holidaymakers. The harbour is a busy working harbour and the fishing boats laden with fish, crabs and lobster can be seen daily at work.

Boat trips to see the seals can be taken from the Harbour and other locations around Wells.

Pinewoods is known as a quiet and relaxing location despite its popularity. There is a childrens’ outdoor play area, a shop and café as well as a sales office for those, like us, who loved it so much that they bought a caravan.
